Set in a thick forest of pines, it is a stunning area of Keystone. The Mountain House neighborhood is only 200 yards from the ski lifts, and is located between Keystone’s Lakeside Village and River Run Village at the base of Dercum Mountain. The Peru Express Lift provides access to the A51 Terrain Park for a little more challenge and fun, while you also have access to the Discovery, Poma and Magic carpets in the one of the largest learning areas of the mountain.

The vaulted ceiling makes it feel bigger than it is, and the view out the window is beautiful. There were plenty of blankets and linens, and it was really nice to have a full size fridge and a full size stove. We plan to return when we can this ski season or even in the summer. Great condo close to a beautiful creek to lounge around during the summer days.

Three new collections feature large estates, single family villas, and paired villas. Chateaux DuMont is located in the Mountain House area and is one of the nicest vintage buildings in Keystone. It is just yards from the lifts and most have private hot tubs. Another right at the base is the Slopeside complex which have the lowest rates for ski-in ski-out condos. The base area has a nice BBQ joint, of course a pizza place, cafe and bar.
With a ski school and children’s center, rental shops, retail shops, dining, and lift ticket office, Mountain House has everything you’ll need right there. Shuttle service is also provided from the Mountain House neighborhood to the nearby Keystone Village. This resort-style staff gated neighborhood features extensive amenities, including a fitness center, spa, pools, outdoor gathering areas, cafe, and community firepit.
The area is really flat, with the San Joaquin River running through it, and it's close to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, a big network of waterways and wetlands. Fort Dude is another great place for a kid that includes a western style fort that is perfect for a good old fashioned snowball fight. In the summer there is great fishing along the Snake River, a beautiful bike path and views to die for. A short walk from the actual base will lead you to some great local bars. The Goat Soup and Whisky serves delectable bar food and has live music often.
